Microbladed Eyebrows

Microblading - The Art of Permanent Makeup

Cosmetic makeup has always been in vogue, and the technology that makes it happen is always evolving. With the modern appreciation of tattoo culture, microblading and microshading procedures are no longer scary or stigmatized as something only a segment of the culture does. Instead, it is represented as something beautiful and an art, with many artists learning the intricacies of beauty makeup in order to provide the best service for their clients. Permanent makeup doesn’t need to be intimidating or scary. As long as you’re aware of what to look for and your end goals, you won’t need to worry about anything except setting up an appointment. You can anticipate spending a minimum of a couple hours for the procedure, so free up some time for a consultation beforehand to make the best use of your time. You’ll be able to get to know your artist and their business, so chat for awhile about what you should expect and what the artist should be able to do for you. Chronic Ink in Markham and Toronto offers microblading in our shops, so feel free to drop in or call your local studio with any questions you may have. Staying local and investing in good work is your best bet for a successful and comfortable transaction all around. Microblading Toronto

Microblading and Cosmetic Tattoos

No matter what your skin type is, you can benefit from microblading eyebrow procedures. Depending on how full you want your brows to look, you’ll have to let them grow out for a few weeks before getting anything done. The best part about using your natural brows is that it lets the microblading finish the hard work of making your brows look as natural as possible. It will depend on your skin whether or not something lighter or darker will give you the best look, so try to look at others with the same shade as you and get an idea of what it will look like. When shopping around for artists, looking through their portfolio for examples of their work is important. Even if you aren’t getting the same type of designs they’ve done in the past, the most important thing is feeling comfortable. Ask questions for things you’re unsure about, and have a discussion about their experience with the type of work you want done. Any good artist is always willing to discuss how they will work for you and exactly what their process is. Microblading procedures are essentially a semi-permanent tattoo that helps you achieve a beautiful brow area. This is done through the use of a small device that will deposit pigments in your skin much like a tattoo will. Even if you’ve never had a tattoo before, microblading isn’t an especially painful process. While everyone has different pain tolerances, the general level of pain is much less than it would be for a tattoo on certain parts of the body. Microblading artists will start the procedure by numbing the area first, as it can feel a bit like getting a tattoo on your face. Typically, it will take one main appointment and a quick follow up to achieve the look you want. Once you come back, you’ll have a better idea of what your eyebrows will look like, as they will be healed and less red from the first procedure. There’s no harm in waiting a little longer for the area to heal before you go back, plus you’ll have a better idea of what your permanent look will show as. Microblading Markham

Things to Keep in Mind

Ensure that the business you’re going to is clean and well-maintained, with friendly, helpful staff, not just great artists and personalities. Anyone can do a lot of shoddy or mediocre work, but it takes practice and diligent management in order to keep and get new clients. If you ever feel uncomfortable about what someone is saying or doing, take your business elsewhere. If you’re looking to get your eyebrows microbladed by an artist, do some research into the process and what you’ll need to pay. It doesn’t need to be costly, but it’s definitely important to know exactly what you’re going to have to invest, especially if you think you’re going to need touch ups or multiple visits. Build a relationship with an artist’s work, and go with what speaks to you and looks the best for your goals. Once you’ve successfully completed the process with your brow artist, microblading aftercare includes watching out for infection or any signs of irritation. While the area may itch or feel uncomfortable for awhile, this is a normal part of the healing process. Try not to scratch it too much in order to prevent scabbing or scarring, which will ruin the design entirely. If you see any red streaking or have an unusual amount of pain, go see a doctor immediately, as facial infections can be incredibly serious. Microblading Eyebrows

Exposure to sun and sweat, along with chemicals found in things like sunscreen and makeup will make the pigment look less “fresh” or dark, so be sure to watch out for excessive sun exposure. Lotions and exfoliants may also irritate the skin around where you had work done, and remove any healing scabs that can cause scarring. You want to make sure that your brow area is able to breathe and heal properly, and that won’t happen if you cover it up with other products. Otherwise, if things aren’t looking like how you expected or you have more questions about the care of your brow area, ask your artist for advice on how to keep things healing smoothly. You may have to wait a bit less or longer than others in order to come back for a touch up, since you will need time to heal regardless of how much work you’ve done. Microblading
